M Poppy Painting

A bit early this year, like everything else.
These self sowing poppies are large and wonderful. They would be hard to control in a personal garden, but look lovely on the hillsides.

Checking out a new camera today.

Early evening image with one Impression filter used on the background, and another setting for the flower itself.

Rhoddy blossoms

No special effects
here other than to
darken the background
and show off the
pink of the flowers.

Taken in the yard

Oil Glazed Sally

Always trying
something new.

Masking out
the darker
background
to cover the
very dark color.

Perhaps it still
needs to be
lighter.

Photographing for filters.

Sometimes
images need to be
stacked and overlapped
to make sure the light
and color are the
same for a composite
image.

Trying to get
things to look
realistic poses a
shooting challenge.

Bluebells

Woke up to a
sprinkle the other
day. Gloomy skies
create wonderful light
for photos.

The dew covering
the bluebells made
for an interesting image.

Topaz filters were
used to create this
version.

Pink Dogwood Painting

I love pink
dogwoods.

Love the
regular photo.

This attempt to
darken the green
and add a painter
touch is fun.
